My mom won't let me see a therapist and it's ruining my life. Help?

Go to the counselor at school, if your mom won't give you any help. They may have suggestions to help you out and probably even speak to your mom, or give you some names of people you can talk to. You can also go to a GP and talk to them, they can talk to your mom and give you a referral to a therapist (as a lot of insurance companies require one). My mom didn't want to help me when I was 14 and suicidal and cutting myself all the time. She wouldn't send me to a pscyhiatrist/psychologist, but now I'm seeing one (I'm 25) and we're trying to work things out.
